Kangel's Philosophy

False Health & Incomplete Health in the Age of Information

In the age of of information, all knowledge becomes easily available. However, it's one of the great ironies of our time that we live in this age of information, an age characterized by almost universal access to computers, where people can transfer information freely and have instant access to knowledge that would have been difficult or impossible to find decades ago. What makes this such a great irony is that, even with all this information, we probably know less than ever before, or at the very least, we know less that is accurate. Inaccurate, false, or confusing information becomes the new trend now.

Living Longer, Not Healthier

Before the beginning of the 20th century, the average lifespan was 47 years old, and lives were mostly lost to infectious disease. But when penicillin was first discovered by Sir Alexander Fleming in 1928, it was a game changer, and people were living longer, and infectious disease became less threatening. But even so, one major problem still exists: nutritional deficit-related diseases. Modern day stressful lifestyle and unhealthy diet has been known for many years to play a key role as a risk factor for these diseases, and many without realizing have fallen into the trap and become a victim.
